Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, December 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, and 17th

Time: 3:00-4:30pm (MT) each day

Registrants MUST commit to attending all six sessions; enrollment is limited

This 6-session program offers participants extensive hands-on training in several foundational elements of personal safety, including deconstructing safety myths as well as both discussion-based and experiential training in using voice, tone, body language, and verbal strategies to set healthy boundaries with strangers as well as friends, family members, and others in our lives.

Specifics covered in this 6-session curriculum include:

  • Safety Myths vs. Reality
  • Congruent Body Language & Tone
  • Yelling/Using Your Voice
  • Approaches to Conflict: Socialization, & Learned Behavior
  • Role plays: Verbal Strategies for Escalated Situations & Verbal Assaults
  • Verbal Formulas for Boundary Setting with People We Know (including unwanted touch, help, etc.)
  • Role Plays: Boundary Setting with Family, Friends, Coworkers, etc.
